Venezuela y República Dominicana se enfrentarán en la final de la Serie del Caribe

MADRID, España.- La Serie del Caribe 2024, iniciada el pasado 1 de febrero, culmina este viernes 9 de febrero con la gran final entre los Tiburones de La Guaira de Venezuela y los Tigres del Licey de República Dominicana. El encuentro tendrá lugar en el LoanDepot Park de Miami a las 20:00 hora local.

Los Tiburones llegan a la final con un récord de cinco victorias y una derrota, luego de vencer a Curazao por 6-2 en la semifinal. Por su parte, los Tigres disputarán la titularidad tras derrotar a Panamá por 4-1.

Se espera un duelo de pitcheo de alto calibre en la final. Los Tiburones anunciaron como su abridor a Ricardo Pinto, MVP de la pasada Final de la LVBP. Mientras que el diestro César Valdez ha sido confirmado como el abridor de los Tigres. Valdez fue el pitcher del triunfo en el partido ante Puerto Rico en la ronda regular.

Los Tigres, que disputarán su quinta final consecutiva, cuentan con una ofensiva poderosa liderada por Robinson Canó, Jorge Alfaro y Sergio Alcántara, quienes han sido claves en el éxito del equipo durante el torneo.

Por su parte, los Tiburones tienen en Balbino Fuenmayor y Danry Vásquez a sus principales figuras ofensivas. De vencer Los Tigres del Licey, estarían consiguiendo su décima segunda Serie del Caribe, por su parte los Tiburones de La Guaira buscarán su primer trofeo.

Previo a la final se disputará el choque por el tercer lugar entre Panamá y Curazao.
