Al amanecer de este viernes 25 de octubre se reportan fuertes lluvias e inundaciones en Baracoa, provincia de Guantánamo, a menos de una semana del paso del huracán Oscar por la zona.

El periodista estatal Miguel Reyes compartió en sus redes sociales imágenes de la situación actual de esa ciudad. 

Según el reporte del ingeniero Andrés Aragonés, del Centro de Meteorología de la provincia, han caído 128.8 milímetros en siete horas. 

La zona de la ‘Playa’ está inundada y aparentemente las lluvias continuarán, por varias ondas que se moverán rumbo sur y alguna vaguada, agregó el periodista oficialista.

Por su parte, el Instituto Cubano para la Libertad de Expresión y Prensa (ICLEP) también confirmó fuertes lluvias en Moa, provincia de Holguín.

En ese municipio, desde las primeras horas del día hay inundaciones en varias zonas. El río Cabañas amenaza con desbordarse.

Las lluvias azotan al territorio oriental de la isla, a menos de una semana del paso del huracán Oscar, de categoría 1.

Por este siniestro se registran siete fallecidos y varias personas aun están desaparecidas.
