México: Empresas se unen para emplear a migrantes de Cuba, Venezuela y Haití

Unas 46 grandes empresas mexicanas se unieron a la iniciativa  Tent Partnership for Refugees con el compromiso de emplear a miles de migrantes cubanos, venezolanos y haitianos que residen en la nación azteca.

Entre las compañías destacan Walmart de México, Chedraui, HSBC, Marriot International y Fomento Económico Mexicano (FEMSA).

En México hay más de 600 mil migrantes irregulares y el 75% de los “de los empresarios mexicanos afirman tener dificultades para encontrar trabajadores”,  refirió El Financiero.

Tent México trabajará junto a la Organización Internacional para las Migraciones (OIM) para que las empresas puedan acceder al “talento desplazado” en todo el país.

De acuerdo con un estudio de Tent, el 74% de los consumidores mexicanos prefieren comprar productos y servicios de empresas que emplean refugiados

Las autoridades mexicanas contabilizaron en 2023 la presencia de 700 mil migrantes irregulares de distintas nacionalidades. 

De ellos, la Comisión Mexicana de Ayuda a Refugiados ha recibido solicitudes de 44 mil 239 haitianos, 18 mil 386 cubanos y 5 mil 517 venezolanos.
