Fenómeno meteorológico en formación podría afectar a Cuba

Cuba se mantiene alerta ante la formación de un fenómeno meteorológico en el Mar Caribe que podría afectar la región Occidental.

Según informó el periodista estatal Lázaro Manuel Alonso en su perfil en Facebook: “En el extremo Occidental de Cuba hay que estar atentos a la evolución de este fenómeno en formación en el Mar Caribe”.

A pesar de mostrar las imágenes de los radares del Centro Nacional de Huracanes de Florida y los pronósticos de trayectorias, aún no se ha informado sobre la evolución de este sistema ni el peligro que podría representar para la isla.

Hasta ahora, el Centro de Pronósticos del Instituto de Meteorología de Cuba (INSMET) solamente ha reportado que las lluvias en la región central “están relacionadas con la presencia de una vaguada en la altura extendida en dirección sur-suroeste desde el archipiélago de las Bahamas hasta el mar Caribe occidental”.

En su último parte, el INSMET agregó que sobre Cuba “persiste la influencia anticiclónica subtropical, cuyo centro permanece sobre el Atlántico occidental, imponiendo vientos variables débiles sobre el territorio nacional”.

Más adelante subrayó que “otra zona de bajas presiones tiene asociadas lluvias y tormentas eléctricas de manera desorganizada se ubica sobre el noroeste del mar Caribe occidental y América Central”. 

Al parecer lo más preocupante, según la entidad meteorológica cubana, es que “las condiciones ambientales parecen favorables para el desarrollo de este sistema, y es probable que se forme una depresión tropical o una tormenta tropical mientras se desplaza lentamente hacia el norte a través del noroeste del mar Caribe y el sudeste del golfo de México”.
