Una explosión en el mercado Cuatro Caminos ocurrió la tarde de este sábado, sin que al parecer hubiese que lamentar pérdida de vidas humanas.

El hecho ocurrió aproximadamente a la una de la tarde, según un video del medio independiente CubaNet.

En su perfil de Facebook, CubaNet compartió un video en el que se pueden apreciar daños en el piso del pasillo exterior del mercado.

Según el medio, la explosión pudo haber sido provocada por una falla en un transformador soterrado.

En el lugar era visible un despliegue policial y de bomberos, aunque no se observó presencia de fuego.

El mercado de Cuatro Caminos, uno de los más grandes del país, fue reabierto en noviembre de 2019 tras una fuerte propaganda del gobierno, en un día en que la multitud hambrienta provocó caos y destrozos en el local.

Cerrado ese mismo día, fue reabierto en enero de 2020 tras “labores de mantenimiento, solución de averías, reabastecimiento e inventario”, dijeron las autoridades de CIMEX.

Durante la etapa de la pandemia de Covid-19 sufrió varias etapas de cierre de sus instalaciones por la ocurrencia de brotes de coronavirus entre sus trabajadores.
