Récord de acumulados de lluvias en 48 horas en Guantánamo

En las últimas 48 horas, las estaciones meteorológicas de Guantánamo registraron importantes acumulados de lluvia, fenómeno asociado al paso del huracán Oscar, que además dejó siete muertos en ese territorio.

Según una nota posteada en X por el Centro de Pronósticos del Instituto de Meteorología (Insmet), en el Valle de Caujerí se registró un total de 630.2 mm, el mayor volumen de precipitaciones reportado en la provincia durante este período del año.

Otros registros significativos incluyen a Punta Maisí, con 436.4 mm; Jamal, con 223.5 mm; y Palenque de Yateras, con 103.0 mm.

Estos acumulados corresponden al intervalo comprendido entre las 8:00 a.m. del 20 de octubre –cuando Oscar azotó la provincia más oriental de Cuba– y las 8:00 a.m. del 22 de octubre, detalló el Insmet.

Todavía en la región oriental de Cuba hay cielos nublados y se reportan algunos chubascos, lluvias y aisladas tormentas eléctricas.

Asimismo, municipios como Imías y San Antonio Sur, donde se reportaron siete muertos por las inundaciones que dejó el huracán, permanecen incomunicados.
