Pelotero cubano Yoisnel Camejo escapa de delegación oficial en Barcelona

El jardinero cubano Yoisnel Camejo decidió no regresar a Cuba tras participar en la Barcelona Baseball Cup, a la que asistió como parte del equipo de los “Cocodrilos” de Matanzas.

La noticia fue confirmada este martes por el medio especializado Cuba Grand Slam, y posteriormente verificada por Swing Completo a través de fuentes cercanas al jugador.

Camejo, quien formaba parte del equipo de los “Cocodrilos” de Matanzas, no se presentó al vuelo de regreso a Cuba, detallaron ambas publicaciones.

El pelotero matancero ha disputado seis ediciones de las Series Nacionales del Béisbol cubano.

Durante su paso por la última temporada en Cuba, Camejo destacó con un promedio de bateo de .329 en 50 juegos, acumulando 31 hits, incluyendo dos jonrones y cinco triples.

El equipo de Matanzas tuvo una actuación decepcionante en la Barcelona Baseball Cup, donde fue eliminado antes de la final con solo una victoria en tres juegos.

Tras la eliminación, Camejo decidió no retornar a la isla, hecho que se suma a la lista de deserciones que regularmente se producen dentro de las delegaciones deportivas cubanas que participan en competencias internacionales.
