La crisis energética se profundiza en Cuba, donde los apagones duran cada día más horas en todas las provincias.

El martes se afectó el servicio durante las 24 horas por déficit de capacidad de generación y durante esta madrugada no se había podido restablecer.

La máxima afectación fue de 1347 MW a las 10:00 pm, superior a los 1030 MW planificados, y las redes sociales se llenaron denuncias de usuarios que sufrieron apagones de hasta 16 horas en diversas localidades.

La subida, según el parte de la Unión Eléctrica (UNE), se debió al desabastecimiento de combustible diésel en las centrales de generación distribuida y a las salidas imprevistas de las unidades 6 y 1 de las termoeléctricas Nuevitas y Santa Cruz, respectivamente.

Este miércoles a las 7:00 am la disponibilidad del Sistema Electroenergético Nacional (SEN) era de 1830 MW y la demanda de 2790 MW, con 959 MW afectados. Para el mediodía se estimaba una afectación mayor, de 1150 MW.

En las horas pico el déficit será de 1320 MW, con una afectación de 1390 MW.

Están averiados seis bloques de las CTE Mariel, Santa Cruz, Nuevitas, Felton y Rente.

Además, 59 centrales de generación distribuida se encuentran fuera de servicio por falta de combustible (582 MW afectados) y las limitaciones en la generación térmica son de 424 MW.
