Cinco reconocidos artistas cubanos recibirán el título Doctor Honoris Causa

El próximo viernes cinco notables artistas cubano serán investidos con el título de Doctor Honoris Causa que confiere la Universidad Anglohispanomexicana (UAHM).

La noticia fue dada a conocer por el medio estatal Cubadebate, quien afirmó que la investidura es “fruto de las alianzas que se expanden hoy en el ámbito cultural” entre ambas naciones.

De la isla serán condecorados la destacada coreógrafa Lizt Alfonso, el director general de la Compañía de Teatro Infantil La Colmenita, Carlos Alberto Cremata; el actor Jorge Perugorría, y los artistas visuales Roberto Fabelo y Manuel Mendive. 

La alta distinción de la UAHM se entregará en el Hemiciclo del Edificio de Arte Universal del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, en La Habana.

El Director Honorífico de la casa de altos estudios mexicana, Daniel Martín, declaró a la agencia Prensa Latina que “esta investidura celebra la obra de décadas de consagración, colocando el nombre de Cuba en una posición de mérito”.

La ceremonia de entrega estará amenizada por la compañía Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba, liderada por la maestra cubana, y a ella asistirán la ex ministra de Cultura de Colombia, Patricia Ariza, y el senador mexicano Jorge Carlos Ramírez, entre otras personalidades de ambos países.

Durante este 2024, la UAHM confirió igualmente el prestigioso título a otros artistas de la isla como el pianista Frank Fernández y el músico Edesio Alejandro. También hizo entrega del título al grupo español Mocedades.
